Focus and Scope

The Vidyodaya Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (VJHSS) is a peer-reviewed journal that is exclusively devoted to the publication of research and scholarly articles in the fields of social sciences and humanities written in Sinhala, Tamil or English.  The journal is published annually by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.

The main objectives of the Journal are to:

  • Publish original high quality submissions from researchers and academics in order to help foster knowledge in the humanities and social sciences
  • Encourage collaboration by teams of researchers to create special issues on the latest developments in related topics of local and international importance

Peer Review Process

Articles submitted to the Vidyodaya Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (VJHSS) will be subjected to a double blind peer review process.  If the decision of the initial two reviewers varies, the article will be sent to a third reviewer. 

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
