Abstract

A survey found that "Forestry" was practised 011 the irrigated smallholdingsonly to 0 limited extent, ntainlv [or the production offood. There were veryfewrelict trees F()II/ the former forest, hut there \l'as some planting 0/ commercialtill/hers, mainly leak and halnulla (Berrva cordifolia) and 0/ plants used inindigenous medicine. 0/ lion wood forest products . fodder and thatching grassare the most important. No bee-keepers were found ill the sample.
