Abstract

The most critical problem that associated with land is its relative scarcity hence, the supply of land for rising demand is very crucial. Increasing pressure of population on land has lead to a rapid decline in the land: man ratio from 2.25Ha per persons in 1880 to 0.38 Ha in 2000. Hence, there are many land management techniques are applying in many countries. Among them Land Readjustments technique plays a vital role as a land supply option in the context of land management. Main objective of this study is to identify the land read justment concept and requirements for better use of land readjustment as potentials for land supply in Sri Lanka. So, technique was applied in to disorganized urban space within CMC. A finding was that there is a possibility to apply this technique to this land of site and thereby can increase the supply of land.
