Abstract

Even though wireless technology has grasped widely on the business to consumer market, there is an emerging curiosity occurring in the business to business market. Wireless technology is gradually transforming businesses in every type, from micro-level enterprises to large Multinational Corporations. No matter how powerful the computer is on the employee desktop, the moment they walkout, it has no value. Companies can gain unleash benefits through mobilizing enterprises using wireless technology. Enterprise mobility is a powerful business tool to enhance organizational performance while giving better balance to employees’ careers and personal life. Most of the time employees do not know what they really want. They are not being able to imagine things that are too far out. Therefore, engaged leadership is vital for mobility execution. The core element of the change is not the strategy, structure, or culture. It is always about changing behaviour of the people. Every successful technological implementation is followed by an engaged leadership. Leaders are change agents; they drive the change in the organization for the betterment of their constituents. Leaders provide new vision and give people hope in the light of their future prospect. This paper examines the impact of enterprise mobility on corporate leadership practices in an information and communication technology (ICT) space. Moreover, it emphasizes on how leaders should embrace enterprise mobility as their key strategy for change in the new digital economy. The empirical analysis is based on qualitative research method and successful case analysis. The data is mainly based on a mixture of personal interviews, leadership surveys, expert opinions and secondary data sources. The finding suggests that successful execution of enterprise mobility will bring unleashed performance to organizations irrespective of the size and the nature.
