Peer Review Process

Peer Review Statement

Articles submitted to the Journal of Tropical Forestry and Environment (JTFE) will be subjected to double blind peer review process. If their decision varies the article will be sent to a third reviewer and the editorial board’s decision is final. To expedite the review process, authors are welcome to nominate two well-qualified reviewers outside the author’s affiliated institution who can review the manuscript. All book review papers will undergo editorial screening by a designated book reviews editor.

Paper Acceptance

JTFE accepts original full length research papers, theory-based empirical papers, review articles, case studies, feature articles, research notes, and book reviews. In submitting an article to JTFE, the author guarantees that the same manuscript has not been previously published in another journal, proceedings or any other form (except thesis or dissertation), nor it’s being under consideration for publication in another journal.

Final decision on acceptance of a paper is with the editorial board. Promotion in any form will lead to rejection of the manuscript. Selected papers will be put in queue for publication. Once the article is published author will get a confirmation mail from the chief editor. In no case articles having more than 5 authors will be considered unless justification is provided for the work done by co-authors.

Publication Frequency

JTFE is published twice-yearly (March-April and September-October). The journal follows “Online First” publishing method where articles accepted for publication will appear online initially.
