Abstract

Pumithiri Peer-Reviewed e-Journal of Gender Studies is an online scholarly publication dedicated to the critical examination of contemporary gender-related issues through an interdisciplinary perspective. The journal provides a platform for scholarly inquiry into diverse themes, including gender inequality, gender-based violence, gender identity, sexuality, women’s rights, and other emerging dimensions of Gender Studies. The First Issue of Volume Three features peer-reviewed articles organized under two principal thematic domains: Economy, Society and Gender; and Education, Aesthetics and Gender. These thematic areas explore gender in relation to socio-economic structures and relationships, as well as educational, cultural, aesthetic, and creative practices. Collectively, the contributions demonstrate the multifaceted nature of gender and reflect the journal’s broad interdisciplinary approach. Through diverse scholarly perspectives, Pumithiri seeks to contribute to critical academic discourse and advance contemporary research and knowledge in the field of Gender Studies.
