Abstract

Satellite magnetic anomalies over Sri Lanka and nearby oceanic regionsare inverted to obtain the crustal magnetization distribution of the regionusing the least-squares technique and the eigen-value decompostion method.Correlation between the major geological features and the magnetizationdistribution is also discussed.
