About the Journal
විදුදය Vidudaya – Journal of Language, Literary, Cultural and Media Studies is a fully open access, peer-reviewed academic journal, showcasing interdisciplinary research in relation to the above subject domains, authorized by the Department of Sinhala and Mass Communication in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.
Aim and Scope
The aim of this journal is to serve as a scholarly nexus, fostering the exchange of research and critical discourse that advances the understanding of complex interrelationships within language, literary, cultural and media disciplines. It seeks to contribute to the enrichment of academic scholarship, promote intellectual diversity, and inspire the next generation of scholars, educators, and practitioners in the said realms.
Our journal's scope spans the rich tapestry of language, literature, culture, communication and media studies, inviting diverse contributions that explore a broad spectrum of topics and methodologies.
We welcome original research and review articles, theoretical inquiries, and methodological innovations -written in Sinhala, Tamil or English- that push the boundaries of conventional knowledge, embracing interdisciplinary approaches and fostering a deeper understanding of the intricate relationships within language, literature, culture, communication, and media.
